The assumption is that that lady worked there for all ten years but she could have worked there for less than ten years thus her dose rate would have been higher. Would employment records for the dial painters remain?
Argonne spent a lot of effort on this. They had individual records on all the women. I think they interviewed many of them. So they had lots of info on the intake, but they chose to focus only on cumulative dose, which makes sense only if you are an LNTer. I dont know how much of this data has been preserved. The study ended in the early 1990's.
These are internal dose rate profiles. The radium built up in their bodies during the time they were licking the brushes. But the dose rate continued for as long as radium remained in their bodies. Most of that radium was still there for as long as they lived. See dose rate profile in article.
